    When? Select Saturdays, 8:30 to 11 a.m.

    What? Let’s get together to give back to the neighborhood and the pollinators that keep us growing. Tasks will include revitalizing the farm’s pollinator beds, creating pathways, landscaping, and picking up litter.

    Who? This work-day is is for everyone! No experience required, friends and family welcome.

    Saturdays | Worthington Farmer's Market

    When? Every Saturday! Two shifts available.

    • Morning 7:15 - 10:15 a.m.

    • Afternoon shift 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    What? We are looking for energetic farm friends to help us set up, tear down and operate our booth at the Worthington Farmer’s Market this summer! Learn more about volunteering at the Worthington Farmers Market.

    Who? Volunteers should be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, be friendlyand follow directions.

    Where? The Worthington Farmer's Market. 7227 N High St, Worthington, OH 43085, USA. Check out the market map to find our booth.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We welcome volunteers of all ages, with a few requirements:

    • All minors must have a parent/guardian fill out our volunteer waiver on their behalf.

    • Children 13 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Complete the volunteer waiver.

    Save your confirmation email to show to Franklinton Farm’s staff before you begin service.

  • Each service day is different depending on the time of year. Typically, volunteers can expect to …

    Work outside, assisting with general stewardship and maintenance of the farm. Tasks may include weeding, raking, preparing the garden beds, digging, litter pick up and many other tasks.

    Work inside, either tending plants in our high tunnels or assisting with property maintenance, tool organization, and other various tasks. 

    Perform physical labor, such as bending, standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds. Be prepared to get in a bit of a workout!

    Navigate uneven terrain.

  • All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes or boots.

    Dress to work. Work gloves are provided, but we encourage volunteers to bring their own. Choose clothing that is comfortable to move around in and can get dirty. We recommend long pants to protect against irritation from weeds, rocks, etc.

    Bring a water bottle, as we do not provide bottled water. If you are preparing for a long service day, bring your own snacks/lunch.

    Dress for the weather. Bring a hat, sunglasses and/or a rain jacket. 

    Leave valuables at home. We are not liable for lost or stolen items.

  • Volunteers should report to our farm office at 867 W. Town Street in Franklinton.

    There is a parking lot in front of the office, with additional parking along Martin Avenue (just west of the office).

    Unless told otherwise, your volunteer leader will meet you near the door.

  • Unless you hear from our Volunteer Coordinator directly, assume your event is still on!

    All other cancellations should be made 48hrs prior to the event.

  • If you have more questions or concerns, please email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@franklintonfarms.org​ and they will be happy to help you out!
