Seasonal Farm Crew
AmeriCorps State & National | Rural Action
We are looking for 1 field crew member and 1 field/Farmers Market back up crew. 300 hour service term. Starts September 2026.
The Farmer's Market crew member must be able to drive.

Harvesting, washing, and packaging vegetables for sale
Seeding, transplanting, and cultivating crops
Bed preparation, weeding, irrigation, and applying inputs
Mowing and weed whipping
Fenceline maintenance
General farm upkeep, maintenance, and improvement of farm property, facilities, and equipment
Operating farm tools and machinery safely and effectively
Adhering to established farm standards for quality, efficiency, food safety, and documentation
Performing all of the above in all types of weather conditions
Safely and repeatedly lift and carry 50+lbs
Repeatedly stoop, kneel, reach overhead, bend, crawl, and squat
Withstand exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat
Sustain a full shift (up to 8 hours) of active work on their feet
Handle small objects and perform repetitive tasks
Safely utilize sharp tools
Recognize and prevent potential self-injury
